Everything I’ve ever purchased, every place I’ve visited, and everyone I’ve interacted with is linked to a unique ID or address, preserving the potential for memory and traceability. In a world where ill intent can linger, the value of something unregistered—like a ticket that can be transferred, discarded, or destroyed at any moment—or an inherently anonymous digital mechanism becomes evident.
This photography book, Anonymous, explores the idea of anonymity through the use of stickers—objects that can be peeled away, moved, or removed entirely. Even though we still need a ticket to pass through the gate, or must present our identity before entering a polling station, these moments of ”passing“ are fleeting. Like breath on a mirror, the imprint fades, leaving no trace of the name once written in the mist.
