《동》（winter／冬〔同〕）是 Marooso 發表的首部作品。作品以書信敘事形式為靈感開展，開篇以一段坦露負擔感的文字，引出在冬日中徘徊的視角。創作者將絕望的情境定義為「冬」，並持續蒐集相關影像；在某個瞬間，肌膚感受到寒冷所帶來的痛感，反而喚起了對「生命」的感知。本作正是為那些在艱難時刻中尋求慰藉的人而創作。
Marooso 主要以鏡頭為基礎的媒介進行創作，透過其獨特的視覺語言重新編排與轉化所蒐集的影像。其實踐橫跨數位環境與現實世界，探索作為人類所內在擁有的詭異不安，以及對後人類形態的迷戀。影像在其作品中成為揭示混種生態幻想的手段——關於擴張與匯聚的想像——並作為一種語言，展開關於可能性的敘事，以及在持續演化的藝術世界中，一種嶄新的生命單位，彷彿一座「生態箱（vivarium）」。
『동』(winter/冬(同)) is the first published work by Marooso. Inspired by the narrative form of a letter, it opens with a text confessing a sense of burden and portrays a perspective of wandering through winter. Defining the scene of despair as winter and collecting images, there came a moment when the pain of cold against the skin evoked a sense of ‘life.’ This work was created for those seeking comfort amidst challenging times.
Marooso works mainly with lens-based media, reconfiguring collected images through a distinctive visual language. Exploring diverse media crossing from digital environment and reality, the practice engages with the uncanny fears inherent to being human and a fascination with post-human forms. Images serve as a means of revealing fantasies of hybrid ecologies—of expansion and convergence—functioning as a language that unfolds narratives of possibility and a new unit of life within an evolving artistic world, often likened to a vivarium.
